GORILLA
I had the pleasure of writing many TV and YouTube scripts for Gorilla in the UK. Repurposing the existing U.S. footage and writing voice overs more in-tune with our ears, these 20″ ads were broadcast on the likes of ITV, Channel 5, Sky Sports and Dave. As well as this, I also got to write a bunch of 10″ ads from scratch. These were fun, not only because I was able to offer visual suggestions, but also because of the extreme time constraints. The challenge of getting the main product benefits across in just a few seconds was answered with snappy, rhythmical V.O.s, designed to stick in the mind.

PORK FARMS
I was part of the team behind this national TV campaign. The backdrop: popular and iconic British locations to help illustrate that these are the nation’s favourite pork pies. Or in other words, ‘You know where you are with a Pork Farms’. The ads ran on all the main channels and were complemented with various events and PR.
The year after, I also wrote the follow-up featuring a competition to win a brand new motorhome. With a steady mix of humour and charm, this ad was designed to appeal to a younger audience as well as the heritage values of the traditional customer.

GREGGS
I co-created this TV campaign, with the central idea of people spoiling their food ‘accidentally on purpose’ so they could have a Greggs. It ran on national telly in January 2013. More details can be found here.
O’KEEFFE’S SKINCARE
O’Keeffe’s Working Hands is America’s bestselling hand cream and now a fixture in the UK. My copywriting helped O’Keeffe’s to grow their market share from only being stocked in DIY stores and positioned to men, to now also being sold in Boots, Superdrug and major supermarkets, and aimed at women. This national TV campaign helped to sell the full range – moisturising creams, balms and lotions for the whole body, from head to toe.

CORPORATE / B2B
I’m adept at writing caption-based scripts for corporate videos and social platforms. Here are a couple: a stylised video for Bucher Municipal’s CityCat sweeper, and a YouTube short for renowned glass bottle supplier, Croxsons.
