Not much to say on this one. Wall’s needed a digital ad creating to be displayed in WH Smith over the Christmas period. And as always it had to highlight the remarkable tastiness of the range. One killer headline later…

A new TV ad for Gorilla Glue. An old-school ‘dad & son’ activity: building, or should that be fixing, a wooden (and mixed materials) go-kart. Due to filming constraints, this ad for UK telly had to be shot in the U.S. If only the scriptwriter got to go on every shoot…

The Gorilla Glue Company is always developing new products. Their R&D knows no bounds. So in 2018 they launched new Gorilla Glue Clear – the crystal clear and non-foaming alternative to their traditional Gorilla Glue. These 20″ and 10″ cut-down TV ads featured a nice, new POV shot – and some very heavy slapstick.

Gorilla’s relentless marketing drive saw them push another product from their growing range – Gorilla Sealant – with a national TV ad. (No complaints here.) I think the casting worked well here. See what you think.

Stocked in Sainsbury’s, and featuring in both their in-store magazine and BBC Good Food, this challenger brand was looking to redifine antipasti and ‘salads’ with some truly flavoursome alternatives. I worked on DFS for a year or so. Despite pitching against two other agencies for every single brief, I got a couple of radio ads signed off. Both brought to life by The Fast Show star Jon Thomson, and a woman who used to be on Emmerdale.

I was part of the creative team behind this TV campaign for Greggs. It ran on national telly in January 2013. More details here.

To celebrate the World Cup in 2010, Greggs launched the ultimate patriotic pastry – the England Doughnut. Parodying the famous Nike ad with Wayne Rooney, the poster we put together required a model who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Or his arms, or his face. Step forward one heroic copywriter named Matthew…

Between 2010 and 2012 I was creatively responsible for Asda’s regional radio; writing and recording well over 100 ads for their stores across the UK. Whilst nearly always constrained by product and price, these were tons of fun to make, and mostly voiced by Ralf Little.
