The Brick – radio ad

Uncategorized

Food banks are one of the unseen casualties of the pandemic. Providing vital supplies for people in poverty, their cries for help are going largely unheard.

This was a fast turnaround job I had the pleasure of writing recently.

Out of the five scripts presented to the Wigan charity The Brick, the following ad was chosen for its straight-talking approach.

It’s on air throughout May on local station Wish FM – hopefully helping to make a difference.

Gorilla – talkSPORT radio ads

Gorilla

In 2016 I helped Gorilla reinforce their position with two radio ads on talkSPORT. Running for a month, these ads continued with the theme of gently mocking “our American cousins.” This time by featuring a “soccer” commentator getting his terminology hopelessly wrong.

2. “Ejection”

DFS – radio ads

DFS

I worked on DFS for a year or so. Despite pitching against two other agencies for every single brief, I got a couple of radio ads signed off. Both brought to life by The Fast Show star Jon Thomson, and a woman who used to be on Emmerdale.

Asda – radio ads

Asda

Between 2010 and 2012 I was creatively responsible for Asda’s regional radio; writing and recording well over 100 ads for their stores across the UK. Whilst nearly always constrained by product and price, these were tons of fun to make, and mostly voiced by Ralf Little.
